This place is quaint and friendly. I loved the staff. They acted like family and made you feel like family too. They greet you as soon as you walk in the door. You can tell they have a familiarity with their customers because they know the new from the old. They began by schooling me on the menu items and how it changes from day to day and offering choices and specials. I felt nice. They put my plate together and wished me happy tidings and told me that they knew I would be back. And they were right. I am a loyal customer because of both the great service and the delicious food. Wish I had pictures but I ate the food before I thought about. But my plate was empty every time I went.

Recommended by a friend for the best Southern food for Mother's Day and she was right!! The baked chicken fell off the bone as did their crunchy and tasty fried chicken. Had their key lime, chocolate and blue velvet sliced cake and it was moist and delicious. My family tried ox tail and hamburger steak along with sides- they enjoyed it very much...we will definitely go back!!

This will now be my place of choice when I want soul food but don't feel like making it myself. Everything my family and I had today was excellent. We went near closing and they were almost sold out but I was still not disappointed by what was available. Can't wait to go again to try more of their menu.

Ed's Southern Cooking is hit or miss. PERIOD. There are days when the food is exceptional and delectable, then there are the days where the food is dry, bland, and blah. Their red velvet cake slices are scrumptious though and so are the turkey wings. Word of advice: Try to visit when the workers are not gossiping and are in a friendly, courteous mood. It does wonders!

So delicious. The menu has a good selection. The portions will satisfy. The hosts are friendly. The dining room is comfortable. Also big and could hold a party. If you like country cooking... chicken, chops, potatoes, beans, cornbread, tea, cake, and much more. This is a good place to eat. Thanks
